FAQs
-
Project managers are busy and valuable, and their time is best spent managing the build—not handling photography. Even with good equipment, important details can be missed without the trained eye of a construction photography specialist.
A professional brings technical skill, industry experience, and knowledge of safety and compliance to every shoot. I know how to capture the strength, capability, and expertise of your team while ensuring the images are spec-compliant, visually impactful, and ready for documentation or marketing.
-
Yes. We follow the section’s structure: pre-con video, systematic progress photos, proper labeling, logs, and delivery cadence. If your agency uses a different numbering system, we mirror it.

-
Yes. Many clients hire us solely for pre-construction site photography and video to document existing conditions before work begins. This helps prevent disputes and protects against false claims.
-
It comes down to the values you care about most in a photographer. Do you want someone as adaptable as your project schedule? That’s me. Need a photographer with real-world experience in heavy construction who understands the pace, challenges, and safety requirements of active sites? I’ve got it. Looking for high-quality images that work equally well for progress reports, portfolios, marketing, and publication? Done. Want someone who treats safety and compliance as seriously as you do? I hold an OSHA 10 Construction certification and follow best practices on every job site.
-
Yes. I understand the importance of safety on active construction sites and am very comfortable working in and around heavy construction. Relationships and communication are key to a safe work environment, so when I arrive, I like to have my superintendent give me a brief safety orientation and spend 5–10 minutes walking the job with me to point out any “go” and “no-go” areas. If I’ll be working around heavy equipment, I make it a point to introduce myself to the operators and establish constant visual communication. From there, I’m able to work independently while staying safe, compliant, and respectful of ongoing operations.
-
We’ll discuss your photography needs and budget during our initial consultation, then I coordinate directly with your designated point of contact — whether that’s you, your project manager, owner, marketing director, or designer. Together, we define the day’s priorities, whether it’s a broad scope overview, a specific operation in progress, key personnel, or candid action shots. I work patiently yet efficiently to maximize your time and budget while ensuring you get the images that matter most.
-
For recurring projects, I typically invoice on a monthly basis, which aligns with most City of Austin requirements for submitting progress documentation alongside the contractor’s monthly payment application. This means even if I’m visiting your site weekly, you’ll only receive one consolidated invoice per month. For one-time project showcases or special assignments, I invoice upon delivery of the final images.
